What is a compound sentence?!?

 Hey guys! In writing we have been learning about compound sentences. A compound sentence is two simple sentences combined with fanboys. To make a compound sentence you need:

A Noun: Name, place or object.

A Verb: A action word.

Fanboys:

F= For

A= And

N= Nor

B= But

O= Or

Y= Yet

S= So

Ofa helped me turn my simple sentences into compound sentences. Here is my work:

Highlight: Noun   Verb   FANBOYS


The sun is shining.

but it is still cold.

The weather is crazy.

and it is freezing.

I like eating.

but not too much because your tummy might be full.

I slipped on the ground.

and it hurts.

Jumping is fun.

and I think it's fun!

Snow is fun to play in.

but it can be freezing!

I saw a teddy bear running.

so slow

I am writing 10 compound sentences.

and it is fun to write

I came first place in a sprinting competition.

and i went crazy when i won

I drove to Wigram Primary School.

and i got into an accident 

The sun is not  dimming.

nor shining
